Sniping and Reconnaissance Division

About
"Sniping is actually a young type of warfare, when firearms were first built they were unreliable and inaccurate, but as time rolled by better and more accurate rifles were made and men to use those rifles were chosen. The Marksman has been around since bows and arrows, but this modern marksman had a stick of wood, metal, and fire. These proficient shooters were placed in their special category and given weaponry to match, with rifle in hand and dirt in their teeth they struck fear into the hearts of the enemy." -- VanishingPuppet, Founder's note
Welcome
Why do we train? Why after millenia of warfare do we as people, as human beings, still train and prepare for battle. It should be easy right? All of this advancement in technology should make me the soldier they need us to be, right? No. War, actual or virtual, puts a strain on a man's mind that cannot be simply erased or written over. Adrenaline fills the blood of individuals in stress creating tunnel vision, increased heart rate, sweat, increase in respiration, and a spike to their basic senses. The human animal relies on these senses to survive. The beast in our DNA is what gives us our reflexes, our strength, our survival. We train because the animal inside must be honed; it must be tamed. This will allow a soldier to maintain a new level of control of the senses and keep their composure under the stress of war. To be able to do distance and bullet drop calculations on a running enemy 400 meters away while under fire is something 99.9% of people on the planet can't do. We have two people - at least - who can. We do not train you to yell at you or make you feel worthless. We train you so that whether a teammate is about to get knifed in a game or your vehicle is about to crash in reality, you can maintain a clear enough mind to overcome the situation. It saved my life. Let me help you master yours.
This is the ISIS Sniping and Recon division. If you look in the roster, we have 4 members. Two of which are students of mine and a member of the infiltration branch who was initially in the sniping branch. He of which was trained by both Eagle and myself, VanishingPuppet. I, in turn, was trained by GrumpyEagle. We make up a group a snipers that can cause hell on a battlefield. Any member I designate "sniper" is one able to hold down an entire flank from the enemy. My subordinates train hard, often through trial and error, but when they finally reach their full potential, it is amazing to be able to look back and see how much they've grown. Also take notice that all sniper/recon members are multi-tier proficient. I personally make sure my men (or women) get the proper training from D3ATH before they graduate.
